West Coast Adventure Motorcycle Club Launches Tour du Faso for Peace and Fraternity


Kadiogo: The West Coast Adventure motorcycle club launched the first edition of the Tour du Faso for motorcyclists on Saturday, an initiative promoting peace, fraternity, and resilience. Approximately 300 participants from C´te d’Ivoire, Ghana, Nigeria, Togo, Guinea-Conakry, Niger, Mali, and Burkina Faso are taking part in this adventure covering more than 2,000 kilometers. The circuit links Ouagadougou to Tenkodogo, passing through P´, Gaoua, Bobo-Dioulasso, D©dougou and Koudougou, before a planned return to Ouagadougou on November 15th.



According to Burkina Information Agency, the club’s president, Adama Ou©draogo, stated that the activity aims to show the world that Burkina Faso, despite security challenges, remains “a living, dignified land full of promise”. “We, the motorcyclists of Faso, want to accompany the highest authorities in the triumphant march for the reconquest of the national territory and the promotion of fraternity among Burkinabe, through the powerful symbol of large-displacement motorcycles,” he declared.



For the club’s communications officer, Moussa Sawadogo, the Tour du Faso for motorcyclists is also intended as a symbol of the resilience of the Burkinab¨ people in the face of adversity. The Director General of Faso Tourism, Sulaman Kagone, welcomed the initiative, believing that it aligns with the government’s vision of promoting a Burkina Faso that is “standing, strong, attractive and open”. “This event goes beyond leisure: it is a civic and educational adventure that combines social cohesion, civic-mindedness and the promotion of national tourism through the discovery of our regions,” he said.



Through this Tour du Faso, the West Coast Adventure club intends to strengthen sub-regional integration and promote the image of a united and resilient Burkina Faso.
