Passore: The women of the village of Kona, in the commune of Pilimpikou, organized a day of work of common interest to clean up the Health and Social Promotion Center (CSPS) of the village. This initiative took place on Friday, October 31, 2025, demonstrating a strong community spirit aimed at improving local health facilities.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the sanitation day coincided with the traditional market “Karzoumdaaga,” an event celebrated annually at the beginning of the harvest season. The women initiated the cleanup to enhance the sanitary conditions of the CSPS in their locality. Besides cleaning the health center’s premises, the participants also engaged in backfilling a section of a public road that had been severely damaged by rainwater erosion.
The organizers highlighted that this activity aligns with the community mobilization efforts encouraged by President Ibrahim Traore. He has been urging citizens to actively participate in local development initiatives. In a show of solidarity, the people of Kona provided material support for the effort, underscoring the community’s commitment to the cause.
Through this health-focused initiative, the women of Kona have reiterated their resolve to persist in such endeavors, understanding that true local development relies on the collective efforts of all societal segments.
