Women VSL Groups Extend Support to VDP with Donation in Dolo

Burkina faso: Women members of the VSL (Village Savings and Loans) groups of Micro Credit and Savings of Plan Burkina in the commune of Dolo provided support on Monday, March 16, to the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) through a donation consisting of a bag of corn and a financial envelope of 22,500 CFA francs, AIB observed.

According to Burkina Information Agency, this gesture of solidarity was presented during a ceremony held at the Dolo town hall. The donation aims to show the women's appreciation for the efforts made by the VDP in securing the town and protecting the population, as stated by their representative, Oulena Konon.

The local coordinator of the VDP welcomed this initiative, describing it as a patriotic act that helps boost the morale of the volunteers deployed in the field. He also reaffirmed the VDP's commitment to continuing their mission of defending and protecting the population.

Presiding over the ceremony, the prefect, who also heads the special delegation of the Dolo municipality, Iliassa Ou©draogo, congratulated the donors for their civic contribution. He encouraged local residents and organizations to increase their acts of solidarity in support of the forces engaged in the defense of the national territory.

The ceremony, marked by the presence of local authorities, concluded with messages of mutual recognition and a renewed commitment to consolidating security and peace in the community.
