Yatenga: The site of the CSC North regional headquarters is green again thanks to 65 plants

Ouagadougou: The Youth Association for the Development and Protection of the Environment (AJDPE) organized a reforestation day at the regional headquarters of the Superior Communication Council (CSC) of the North in Ouahigouya on Saturday July 20, 2024. A citizen act that the president of the CSC, Idrissa Ouédraogo, came to encourage.It was under the theme 'What solutions for community resilience in the face of climate change for a healthy environment and sustainable agriculture in a context of insecurity' that the 1st edition of the national campaign of the initiative of young Burkinabè people for the environment and climate on July 19 and 20, 2024 in the city of Naaba Kango.It was the Youth Association for Development and Environmental Protection (AJDPE) which initiated it. An association which is committed to playing its part in the face of environmental challenges such as desertification, deforestation and climate change.The association, to put words into action, organized a reforestation day at the regional headquarters of the Superior Communication Council (CSC) of the North. A civic act praised for its true value by the president of the CSC, Idrissa Ouédraogo.For him, 'The initiative is beneficial because it is a citizen act which is in line with the vision of the authorities. We thank the youth of the Northern region, on the one hand, for this noble idea of ??reforestation and, on the other hand, for the choice of the regional headquarters of our institution. This gives us confidence that the CSC will be able to fully play its role as media regulator in the region. »In total, 65 plants of different species were planted on the site of the headquarters of the Superior Communication Council (CSC) of the North by regional authorities and community leaders.'This day of reforestation is in line with the call from the highest authorities of the country, including the Head of State, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, inviting each Burkinabè to contribute in their own way to the construction of the nation .
