Ouagadougou: The Sangha town hall hosted an information and exchange meeting on Friday regarding the establishment of the Municipal Youth Advisory Council (CCCJ). The ceremony was presided over by the second vice-president of the Special Delegation, Alidou Koara, representing the President of the Special Delegation (PDS).

According to Burkina Information Agency, the meeting aimed to present to young people the new decree establishing the Communal Youth Advisory Councils in Burkina Faso and to inform them about the procedures for setting up the executive office of this body. PDS Alidou Koara notably explained the eligibility criteria for candidates as well as the procedures for appointing members of the executive committee.

The discussions allowed participants to ask several questions, particularly regarding the legitimacy of associations and cooperatives authorized to nominate candidates, as well as the required age limits. All of the concerns raised were addressed. Speaking at the event, the PDS representative urged young people to demonstrate patriotism, unity, and cohesion in order to ensure the success of the process of setting up the executive office of the Municipal Youth Advisory Council.

The meeting took place in a climate of satisfaction, with participants being invited to submit their applications as soon as possible.
