Banfora:Young volunteers mobilized by the Public Interest Group-National Volunteer Program in Burkina Faso (GIP-PNVB) have created pictorial works intended to convey messages of civic duty, patriotism, and peace to the population.According to Burkina Information Agency, these works were carried out on the wall of the Banfora prefecture, a strategic location in the city. Volunteer artists highlighted messages related to integrity, patriotism, and the ideals of the Popular Progressive Revolution (RPP) through their art.Housseini Sankara, advisor to the Director General of GIP-PNVB, stated that this initiative also aims to beautify the city and raise awareness among the population about civic values. The volunteers' actions included weeding around the large roundabout and marking edges of roads near Revolution Square.Sankara emphasized that these activities are part of a broader mobilization of 10,000 young volunteers for community development actions, launched on September 25, 2026, in collaboration with the National Bureau of Major Projects of Burkina (BN-GPB).Painter Alida Sanon, who participated in creating the frescoes, highlighted the cultural heritage of the Cascades region. Her artwork features a woman weaving a basket with palm leaves, emphasizing the importance of knowing one's history and respecting cultural heritage. She expressed a desire to contribute to Burkina Faso's development through her art as part of the volunteer mobilization.
