Peni:The Peni Young Builders Association (AJBP) recently organized a public conference to emphasize the importance of youth involvement in natural resource management. The event, held on October 3, 2026, aimed to raise awareness among young people about their responsibility in preserving the environment and managing natural resources sustainably.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Koaguili Thiombiano, head of the Pni Departmental Water and Forestry Service, led the conference. He provided an overview of the service's organization, staff, and main missions focused on protecting and sustainably managing natural resources. Thiombiano also engaged participants in discussions on how young people can contribute to preserving forest resources, wildlife, and the environment in the Pni commune.
The interactive discussions, enriched by questions and contributions from attendees, helped deepen their understanding of the challenges related to sustainable resource management and their role in it. Moussa Ouattara, president of the AJBP, stated that the initiative supports the efforts of the Water and Forestry Service while fostering awareness among the youth.
Ouattara emphasized that the conference aimed to inspire young people to become active participants in environmental protection and to support the initiatives of the Water and Forestry Department in Pni.
