Nahouri: The President of the Special Delegation (PDS) of the Ziou municipality, Salam Marane, presided over a meeting in Ziou to review the municipality's management, which aims to mobilize over 100 million CFA francs in its own resources. This meeting offered residents a glimpse into the achievements and actions undertaken by the delegation for their benefit.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the meeting, moderated by the Secretary General of the Nahouri province, Emile Hien, allowed the special delegation of the municipality of Ziou to evaluate three years of management. The report presented by Salam Marane highlighted an increase of over 88% in the municipality's resources in 2025, with 78,905,797 CFA francs mobilized, ensuring stable financial health for the municipality.
In the same period, nearly 200 million CFA francs were invested in major projects, including the construction of the maternity hospital in Toungou, the ongoing construction of a nursery school in Guelwongo, and the rehabilitation of the town hall and function room. Additionally, boreholes were drilled to improve access to drinking water.
The municipality also established four secondary civil status centers in Health and Social Promotion Centers (CSPS) to bring administration closer to citizens and contributed nearly 3 million CFA francs to support the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP).
Salam Marane emphasized the aim to recover more than 100 million CFA francs in own resources to enhance the municipality's investment capacity. The PDS of neighboring communes and the High Commissioner of the province of Sissili, Issac Sia, attended to support Ziou's special delegation.
