Zondoma: New high school graduates from Zondoma province embarked on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, for the capital of the Yaadega region to take part in the patriotic immersion. Before their departure, they received advice from the High Commissioner, Aboubacar Sidiki Nab©.
According to Burkina Information Agency, of the 473 admitted to the 2025 baccalaureate session, 451 will be heading to the city of Naaba Kango on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, for the compulsory patriotic immersion initiated by the country's authorities. Before leaving, the new graduates gathered at the Gourcy high commission had an interview with the province's top official.
In his message, High Commissioner Aboubacar Sidiki Nab© urged participants to worthily represent the province in this activity, which will bring together young people from the region's four provinces. "You are on a mission on behalf of the province, so I urge you to listen to your supervisors and avoid acts of gross indiscipline," he advised.
Order and discipline, national identity, shared values and patriotism, geopolitical issues, ideology and development, civic engagement, civics and social responsibility are among the modules that will be developed over a month with the young people. "You will return better and more aware of the issues that govern our current situation," reassured the High Commissioner, who was accompanied by the Provincial Director of Secondary Education, Vocational and Technical Training of Zondoma, Sadou Ou©draogo, and heads of services in charge of security.
For Romaric K. Som©, one of the parents who came to accompany his child, this initiative will promote the socialization of young people and facilitate their future university life and therefore their social integration. As a reminder, compulsory patriotic immersion was established by the government in the Council of Ministers on May 2, 2025, in order to contribute to the civic and patriotic training of new high school graduates throughout the national territory.
