Zorgho Head of Basic Education District Initiates Fundraising for Patriotic Support Fund

Zorgho:The Head of the Basic Education District (CCEB) in Zorgho, Raogo Jean Claude Oudraogo, has initiated a fundraising campaign involving staff from both offices and schools to support the Patriotic Support Fund (FSP).

According to Burkina Information Agency, this campaign marks the conclusion of the second phase of the third edition of the National Days of Patriotic Engagement and Citizen Participation (JEPPC). A flag-raising ceremony took place on Friday, October 16, 2026, where Oudraogo encouraged colleagues to consume locally produced Burkinabe products, aligning with the theme "Let's produce Burkinabe, let's consume Burkinabe!"

The CCEB emphasized that sovereignty extends beyond food to include cultural aspects, urging a change in clothing habits and consumer choices. Oudraogo highlighted the importance of embracing national values and moving away from foreign influences, stating that continued reliance on foreign products and styles perpetuates a form of enslavement.

Following the address, the attendees contributed to the collection, raising 11,300 FCFA on site. The CCEB also extended the fundraising efforts to schools, inviting teachers and students to participate. The collected funds will be centralized and forwarded to the relevant departments in support of the FSP.
