Zoundweogo Province Engages in High Commission Cleanup During JEPPC 2026

Zoundweogo: As part of the Days of Patriotic Commitment and Citizen Participation (JEPPC), the constituted bodies of the province of Zoundweogo, with the active participation of the populations, took part, this Saturday, in a sanitation day at the High Commission, in the effective presence of the provincial authority.

According to Burkina Information Agency, armed with brooms, shovels, and wheelbarrows, public service employees, community leaders, and citizens mobilized to clean the provincial administration building. This civic activity is part of a national initiative to promote civic responsibility, cleanliness, and community participation.

Speaking at the end of the operation, the High Commissioner of Zoundweogo Province, Julien Ouedraogo, praised the strong mobilization and the quality of the work accomplished by the participants. "Thanks to your commitment, the High Commission has been cleaned up. This is your workplace, your administration. You therefore deserve my sincere congratulations," he declared.

He recalled that the Days of Patriotic Commitment and Citizen Participation aim to strengthen the spirit of civic duty, solidarity and the involvement of the population in the life of the Nation. According to him, the cleanup day achieved its objectives, with results deemed satisfactory. The province's top official nevertheless urged participants to maintain this momentum, emphasizing that other activities are planned as part of this first two-week period of the JEPPC.

He notably announced that an activity dedicated to promoting "buying local" would be held on Thursday, April 9, marking the end of this phase. "Together, let us continue this momentum in order to make this first fortnight a complete success in our province," urged the High Commissioner.
