Zoundw©ogo: A Patriot Celebrates Her Birthday With The Inmates Of The Manga Detention And Correctional Center

Zoundweogo: The promoter of the company DIVA COSMOTICS, Val©rie Simpor©, chose to celebrate her birthday on Friday, February 13, 2026, alongside the residents of the Manga Detention and Correction Center (MACM), in a show of solidarity and patriotism.

According to Burkina Information Agency, accompanied by her colleagues, friends, and employees, Ms. Simpor© transformed this personal moment of joy into a social action benefiting the inmates and staff of the prison. In addition to her moral support, she provided two meals of rice with fat, t´ (a type of porridge), and drinks to the inmates, demonstrating her desire to share her joy with vulnerable individuals.

Ms. Simpor© expressed, 'An anniversary only has true meaning when it allows us to give, to encourage, and to remember that no one is forgotten.' Through this gesture, which she describes as a modest contribution, she wanted to express her affection and commitment to the values of humanism and solidarity.

The event was attended by the Head of Mission, Thierry W. NIKIEMA, who commended the donor's initiative, congratulated the MACM staff for their commitment, and offered messages of encouragement and advice to the inmates.

The Director of the Manga Detention and Correctional Center, Oumarou Demi, described the donor's act as "a remarkable gesture of patriotism and humanism." He emphasized that the inmates, as vulnerable individuals, truly need this solidarity. "The state makes significant efforts to feed prisoners, but these resources are not always sufficient to cover all needs. Offering a special meal is a real plus," he explained.

Beyond this donation, the director reminded everyone that MAC-Manga remains open to any goodwill. "Any donor can knock on our door and all necessary facilities will be provided. We also have needs for clothing, bedding and various equipment," he said.
