Zoundwogo: The Gogo Departmental High School vibrated to the rhythm of cultural values, on the occasion of a cultural day organized within the establishment, highlighting the talents and creativity of the students.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the ceremony took place in the presence of the school principal, Djakaridja Ouattara, administrative staff, teachers, representatives of the school council, and representatives of the Zak La-Yilguemd Association. Three highlights marked the day: the headmaster's welcome address, the inter-class cultural competition, and the artistic performances.
In his speech, the headmaster emphasized the educational and pedagogical significance of this initiative. "The cultural day contributes to the students' overall development, beyond classroom learning. It fosters the development of social skills, strengthens self-confidence, and promotes civic values ??such as respect, tolerance, solidarity, and community spirit," he stated.
The headmaster explained that these activities allow students to showcase their talents in various fields such as music, theater, poetry, drawing, and crafts, while developing their initiative, creativity, and leadership. He also expressed his gratitude to all those who contributed to the success of this cultural day.
During the competitions, students demonstrated their skills through traditional dance, modern dance, poetry, slam poetry, and a parade in traditional attire. At the end of the events, the top three in each discipline received awards.
The day was also marked by artistic performances, notably that of catechist Konditamd from the parish of Gogo, who amazed the audience with his talent. A high school student, Rolland 'The Number One,' at the beginning of his musical career, also gave a performance that was well-received by the audience.
