Nouna:The President of the special delegation of the commune of Nouna, Souleymane Tiono, initiated civic engagement activities for 153 volunteers on Friday, November 6, 2026. These activities are part of the Integrated Initiative of the National Volunteer Program in Burkina Faso.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the National Volunteer Program in Burkina Faso, in collaboration with the National Office for Major Projects, plans to implement the Integrated Initiative across all 47 provinces of the country. This initiative includes activities such as awareness-raising, hygiene, and sanitation in provincial capitals.

In Nouna, the activities are scheduled from November 6 to 8, 2026. The first day focused on educating the volunteers about the spirit of volunteering and the ideals of the People's Progressive Revolution. The second day involved a sanitation operation at the Communal Health and Social Promotion Center No. 2. The final day is set for a reforestation operation at the Koussiri "B" school site, followed by a sanitation activity at the Nouna town hall.

The regional head of volunteering for the Bankui and Sourou regions, Abdou Koussoubé, praised the dedication and mobilization of the volunteers. Souleymane Tiono encouraged young people to engage in community initiatives and strengthen their civic involvement for local development.

On Saturday, November 7, 2026, the sanitation session was attended by the High Commissioner of the Koosin province, Noufo Dembélé, alongside Souleymane Tiono, who participated in the cleanup efforts at the communal CSPS No. 2.
