Leraba: The parish of Our Lady of the Assumption of Pissila celebrated a collective marriage this Saturday for the benefit of 29 couples, allowing them to regularize their marital status according to Catholic doctrine. The mass was presided over by Father Roland Kiswendsida Sawadogo, chaplain of the Catholic youth of the parish, and was marked by the blessing of the couples as well as the signing of the official documents.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the initiative, named "Nere Wata promotion," was entirely led by the youth of the Pissila parish. Bruno Sawadogo, president of the youth of the Pissila parish, noted that several couples were living together in concubinage, which limited their participation in certain sacraments and services of the Church. "With this regularization, many Christians will be able to fully integrate into the activities of the parish," he said.

For the couple NatewendE Michel and Ir¨ne OuEdraogo, this celebration is a moment of joy and gratitude. "We have long wished to regularize our situation. Today, God works in good ways, and here we are," the couple confided.

In his homily, Father Sawadogo urged the newlyweds to live their faith fully, to remain faithful to their commitments, and to be ambassadors of Christ in society. The ceremony concluded in a festive atmosphere with songs of thanksgiving, followed by dancing and souvenir photos.
