Poni: The Bissa community of Dj´r´, united within the KouwanlE Association, organized the first edition of its community day on Sunday at the Gaoua Museum, aiming to promote unity among the communities. Held under the theme: "Culture, solidarity and development: the Bissa community united for a prosperous Dj´r´", the ceremony mobilized administrative, customary, and religious authorities, as well as several sister communities who came to show their support for the initiative.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the association's secretary general, Mahamadi Garango, emphasized that this theme focused on solidarity and development, constituting a call for unity between communities to continue efforts in favor of peace and the fight against insecurity. These efforts align with the actions undertaken by the national authorities. Garango expressed satisfaction with the strong mobilization and cultural diversity brought together in an atmosphere of peace, solidarity, and social cohesion.
He stated, "This mobilization reflects a collective commitment to living together in Burkina Faso. The Bissa community remains attached to the values of unity, fraternity, and solidarity."
Representing the president of the special delegation of the commune of Gaoua, Samsa Youl welcomed the initiative, which he believes contributes to strengthening social cohesion between the different communities of the commune. Youl called on the people to strengthen the bonds of fraternity and solidarity to guarantee harmonious coexistence and a peaceful future for all.
As part of the day's events, the association presented a donation to the Faso Mªbo Agency in Gaoua. The donation consisted of seven tons of cement, two wheelbarrows, five shovels, and four pickaxes.
