Koosin Population Restores Access Road to Municipal Cemetery Through Local Initiative

Kossin: The road leading to the municipal cemetery of Nouna was rehabilitated on Monday, May 11, 2026, following a mobilization of local populations. Led by community leaders with the support of administrative authorities, this local initiative has made a road passable that had become difficult to access, especially during the rainy season, thus facilitating burials.

According to Burkina Information Agency, volunteers provided skips to fill the road without financial compensation to enable the work to be carried out. The High Commissioner of the Koosin province, Noufo DembElE, also contributed to the community effort by requesting a charger from the 5th Military Region to support the work. On the ground, the population mobilized strongly to carry out the work, reflecting their support for the initiative.

Kassoum DramE, the focal point of the Presidential Initiative for Community Development, welcomed this mobilization. He mentioned that the people had understood the various messages of Captain Ibrahim TraorE, particularly the endogenous work. He added that unity is essential for progress and that the State alone cannot handle everything.

For his part, the provincial coordinator of citizen watch associations, Adama Dao, praised the spirit of solidarity of the people. He emphasized the importance of self-reliance as a stepping stone for development and expressed gratitude towards the administrative authorities for their support. The High Commissioner and the Chairman of the Special Delegation visited the site to encourage the workers and commend the community spirit.
