Tenkodogo: The construction of the grand mosque in Tenkodogo, estimated at 2.5 billion CFA francs, is progressing satisfactorily. However, the construction committee needs 300 tons of cement to complete the foundation slab, it was learned on Thursday.

According to Burkina Information Agency, on Thursday, September 18, 2026, the construction committee conducted an evaluation of the ongoing work on the foundation slab. This step is a crucial phase in the construction of the religious building.

Following this assessment, the requirements for the completion of this phase were estimated at 300 tonnes of cement, 10 tonnes of 16mm rebar, 15 skips of granite, and 800 cubic meters of sand.

Despite these needs, work continues on the site with the aim of completing this crucial foundation stage.

The chairman of the construction committee, El Hadj Diao Daouda, and the general rapporteur, El Hadj Abdoul Kabir Sana, launched an appeal for solidarity. They invite Muslim faithful, residents of Tenkodogo, and all people of goodwill to support the project, through donations of materials or any other form of contribution.

For the committee, the construction of the grand mosque is a work with both spiritual and community implications, the completion of which will provide lasting benefits to the population.
