Ouagadougou: The facilitators and supervisors of the mandatory patriotic immersion program (IPO) for high school graduates in the 2026 session in Ioba province gathered for an intensive training workshop on July 21, 22, and 23, 2026, at the Dano municipal high school. High Commissioner Innocents Ouattara presided over the opening ceremony.
According to Burkina Information Agency, following the IPO trainer training in Ouagadougou, the 11 supervisors and 22 facilitators from the Dano center participated in the three-day training session. The workshop aimed to harmonize teaching approaches, strengthen the capacities of facilitators, and ensure effective implementation of the different modules that will be delivered to those called up for compulsory patriotic immersion (IPO).
High Commissioner Innocents Ouattara reiterated the expectations placed on the facilitators and supervisors, emphasizing their roles as educators, role models, and guides for hundreds of young high school graduates. He stressed the importance of instilling virtues such as respect for institutions, a sense of duty, love of country, discipline, civic-mindedness, solidarity, integrity, resilience, and a spirit of sacrifice in the service of the nation.
Ouattara invited participants to actively engage in the work, share their experiences, ask constructive questions, and propose innovative solutions to ensure the training achieves its desired outcomes. “I remain convinced that thanks to your professionalism, patriotism, and strong sense of duty, you will successfully accomplish the mission now entrusted to you,” he stated.
He expressed hope that the training session would be successful, providing competent, committed, and well-prepared facilitators and supervisors to conduct the IPO session in 2026 under improved conditions.
The opening of the workshop was attended by the provincial secretary general, Andr© Lankoand©, the provincial director in charge of secondary education, Joseph Kima, and the provincial directors who are members of the organizing committee for the IPO in Dano. The mandatory patriotic immersion is set to begin on Monday, July 27.
