Manni:The Manni Departmental Emergency Relief and Rehabilitation Committee (CODESUR) distributed 450 food and non-food kits on Friday, October 23, 2026, to internally displaced persons (IDPs), returning households, and host families in the commune.
According to Burkina Information Agency, of the 450 kits distributed, 176 were allocated to returning households, some of whom were recently registered in Bogande during the last convoy. The remaining 274 kits were designated for IDP households and host families, with distribution to 182 IDP households and 92 host households.
Each family received a kit that included a fireplace, a lamp, two pans, a spatula, three mats, two blankets, soap, cutlery, a jerrycan, a bag, and three mosquito nets. The goal of this assistance is to improve the living conditions of those affected by forced displacement and to meet their basic needs for household items and essential equipment.
The distribution was supervised by Manni's Social Action department representatives, Herve Bayili and Bassirou Zagre, with support from municipal advisory committees. These groups worked to ensure fair and transparent distribution across the city's seven sectors.
CODESUR, a branch of the National Council for Emergency Relief and Rehabilitation (CONASUR), operates under the leadership of Emmanuel Tindano, president of the special delegation (PDS) of Manni. Social Action officials indicated that this initial non-food assistance will be followed by a distribution of food starting on Monday for the same beneficiaries.
This initiative is part of ongoing solidarity and assistance efforts for populations impacted by the security situation, supporting displaced persons, returning households, and host communities that welcome families seeking safety and better living conditions.
