Bangrin: The final of the Pissila Departmental High School Principal's Cup on Tuesday saw the 8th grade class emerge victorious in both the girls' and boys' football competitions. The girls' team defeated the 9th grade team 3-2 on penalties, while the boys' team beat the 6th grade class by the same score.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the 4th grade class triumphed in the football tournament at the Pissila Departmental High School. In the girls' final, the 4th grade team faced the 3rd grade team. After a goalless draw at the end of regulation time, the two teams were separated by a penalty shootout, with the 4th grade winning 3-2. On the boys' side, the 4th grade team also defeated the 6th grade team by the same score in a penalty shootout, after a goalless draw in regulation time.
The women's and men's teams of the 4th, champions, received a trophy and an envelope of 15,000 CFA francs each, while the unfortunate finalist teams received 10,000 CFA francs each.
Held under the banner of resilience and unity, the closing ceremony featured cultural performances. Promoter Ibrahim Baguiyan thanked the organizers, teachers, parents, and administrative authorities for their commitment throughout the competition.
Presiding over the ceremony, Tambi Zouma, president of the Pissila municipal special delegation, praised the initiative, noting that it "complements the students' learning." He reaffirmed the town hall's willingness to support such activities.
