Johannesburg: 54 people provided with agricultural and market gardening production equipment. The President of the special delegation (PDS) of the commune of Barga, W. Augustin Ilboudo, handed over agricultural and market gardening equipment to 54 producers of the commune on Friday, August 21, AIB observed on site.

According to Burkina Information Agency, these materials consist of various tools necessary for market gardening and off-season farming, which are expected to help strengthen the resilience of beneficiaries in the different villages of the municipality. The municipal authority emphasized that the efficient use of the kits is vital for the socio-professional integration of the 54 people. "Monitoring teams will be deployed to the various operating sites to ensure the commitment of the beneficiaries," the PDS indicated.

Producer Ramata Nacanabo expressed confidence that the market gardening tools will contribute to improving her economic income. "We will produce various crops that we will use for cooking and even sell to provide for our families," she stated. Meanwhile, Madi Oudraogo from the village of Kerga noted that the aid comes at just the right time. "We will be able to develop the land that kind people have given us. We will work to demonstrate to the benefactors our commitment to contributing to the progress of the Barga commune."

This donation was made possible through a request for support from the PDS of the relocated commune of Barga in Ouahigouya to the officials of the community project for recovery and stabilization of the Sahel (PCRSS).
