Citizenship week: Rise of the colors in the Central Plateau

Ziniaré, The Central Plateau region magnified, this Tuesday, November 2, 2021, the symbols of the country through the rise of national colors.

Regional authorities of the Central Plateau, constituent bodies, defense and security forces and students honor the national colors. They sang the Ditanyé in chorus, their eyes riveted on the flag.

In an address that looks like a lecture on the symbols of the nation, Governor Fatoumata Bénon recalled the meaning of the rise of the flag, the coat of arms and the national anthem.

“The flag is the expression of the existence of a country and of sovereignty (…), mounting it is the symbol of its presence. We have magnified the symbols of the State. This is what unites us beyond everything, ”said Governor Fatoumata Bénon.

The country’s security situation demands that the Burkinabè unite with something stronger than the region, cultural affiliation, she continued.

“It was good that we got together to magnify the national colors and recall the meaning of our symbols. It is a very strong reminder, with the youngest, that will strengthen us in terms of resilience, the need to unite and the imperative of national reconciliation, ”says Ms. Bénon.

This ceremony also marks the beginning of the activities within the framework of the 18 th National Citizenship Week (SENAC) on the theme of citizen’s contribution to national reconciliation.

The governor called for the appeasement of hearts and invited everyone to adopt the theme of SENAC.
