Nayala: The High Commissioner of the province of Nayala, alongside administrative authorities and heads of provincial services, paid a visit to the Nayala River, the namesake of the province. This visit was part of the Year II commemoration of the Day of Customs and Traditions, aimed at honoring the river that is considered a guardian and protector of the local population.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the traditional chief, Watanan© Seydou, welcomed the delegation and expressed happiness on this significant occasion. He called upon the ancestors of Zouma to safeguard the authorities who are committed to the welfare of Nayala and Burkina Faso.
During the event, the delegation also met with the river manager, Yado To©, who highlighted the historical role of the river in protecting people with good intentions over the ages. The visit culminated in a celebration at the river, marked by the traditional youyous of the women of Zouma.
The day served to reinforce cultural bonds and celebrate the identity of Nayala, symbolizing a return to the roots that promotes harmony among the local population.
