Ouagadougou, 16 African countries are in Ouagadougou from November 5 to 7, 2021, for the 8 th edition of the African Nations Championship of pétanque, qualifier for the world “Benin in 2022”.
These are Algeria, Burkina Faso (host country), Benin, Cameroon, Comoros, Côte d’Ivoire, Guinea, Madagascar, Mali, Morocco, Mauritania, from Niger, Senegal, Chad, Togo and Tunisia.
The first day started on the evening of November 5 at the Ouaga 2000 Sports Palace with marksmanship (workshop by nation) and saw the Burkinabè Moustapha Baguignan showing great skill in front of the Ivorian Adama Kouanda.
The objective of this championship is to designate the best in precision shooting and the 10 best nations for the Beninese world championship in 2022. At the end of the day of November 6, 8 countries had already validated their tickets for the ¼ finals, synonymous with qualification also for the world.
These are Burkina Faso (team number 1 and number 2), Niger, Tunisia, Mauritania, Algeria, Morocco and Senegal.
It is this Sunday that all the qualified countries will be known and the winner in the marksmanship.
