Fada N'Gourma: In his sermon for the Tabaski 2025 prayer, Imam Elhadji Aboubakar Kina prayed for the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) this Friday, June 6, 2025, in Fada N'Gourma. Like other cities in Burkina Faso, the Muslim faithful of Fada N'Gourma celebrated the Tabaski festival this Friday, June 6, 2025.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Imam Elhadji Aboubakar Kina, who led this significant prayer in the presence of his Muslim faithful, administrative authorities, paramilitary soldiers, and brothers of other religious denominations, urged Allah in his sermon to assist day and night the FDS and the VDP who are engaged in the reconquest of the integrity of the Burkinabe territory often at the cost of their lives. He prayed that God would protect the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traor©, and the authorities who assist him in the governance of their dear country.

At the start of the rainy season, Aboubakar Kina asked God for a good rainy season so that they could cultivate crops to meet their daily needs. Monsignor Yenpaabou Pierre Claver Malgo, on behalf of the Catholic community, said they came to accompany the Muslim brothers in their prayers and wish them a happy holiday. He went on to argue that they came to accompany Muslims in imitating the faith, hope, and obedience of Abraham. To this end, Monsignor Yenpaabou Pierre Claver Malgo hoped that all believers could imitate Abraham in his faith, his hope, and his obedience to God who saves and who wants to save them. "With this faith and hope, their prayer will be answered," he added.

The High Commissioner of Gourma Province, Silas Nacanabo, wished all Muslim faithful a happy holiday. He also expressed his gratitude to them for all the prayers and actions in favor of the reconquest of the regional territory. Mr. Nacanabo urged them to continue talking about peace and social cohesion, as he said the Eastern region needs it.
