‘Green Circle’ Initiative Reforests Hound© Police Station

Ouagadougou: The Simplified Cooperative Society (SCOOPS) "Cercle Vert" of Tuy planted fruit and shade trees on Tuesday within the Hound© police station. Members of the "Green Circle" of Tuy planted several mango trees, papaya trees, guava trees, lemon trees, and several other plant species in the courtyard of the Hound© police station.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the aim of this initiative is to contribute to the national reforestation and greening campaign. "After celebrating National Tree Day, we are continuing our program of activities with this tree planting in the courtyard of the Hound© police station," explained SCOOPS President Ardjouma Sanou.

He noted that the choice of the police station for this activity aims to support the defense and security forces by improving their working environment. Police officials expressed their gratitude to the members of the "Green Circle" for this civic action.

Officials promised to maintain the plants so that they could eventually provide shade and fruit for staff and users of the service.
