Jean Pierre Ou©draogo Steps Down as Head of Ziro’s Provincial Sports Department

Ouagadougou: Jean Pierre Ou©draogo replaces Dramane Sylvestre Ou©draogo at the head of the provincial management: After more than a decade at the helm of the provincial sports department in Ziro, Jean Pierre Ou©draogo handed over the reins this Tuesday to his successor, Dramane Sylvestre Ou©draogo, during a handover ceremony held in the meeting room of the Sapouy high commission.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the ceremony was chaired by the Secretary General of Ziro Province, Adams Davou, and was attended by administrative officials, sports figures, representatives of youth associations, and close collaborators of the outgoing director. During the event, Jean Pierre Ou©draogo extended his congratulations to his successor and wished him success in his new role. He reflected on his tenure, highlighting achievements in sports infrastructure development, club structuring support, and youth leisure activities organization.

Jean Pierre Ou©draogo expressed a sense of fulfillment upon leaving his position, noting his accomplishments over the past 11 years and 6 months. His speech was met with applause, and he received gifts from clubs, sports associations, and individuals as tokens of appreciation.

The new Provincial Director, Dramane Sylvestre Ou©draogo, appointed by the Council of Ministers on June 18, 2025, commended his predecessor's work and referred to him as an "inspiring pioneer." He urged provincial stakeholders to collaborate and maintain progress in the sports sector.

Secretary General Adams Davou lauded Jean Pierre Ou©draogo's rigor, loyalty, and commitment during his tenure and expressed confidence in the leadership abilities of the incoming director. With this transition, the Ziro sports community looks forward to continued development under Dramane Sylvestre Ou©draogo's guidance.
