Boulgou: The Association of Beguedo Nationals in Italy (ARBI) inaugurated, on Tuesday, the fence of the Beguedo police station area, financed to the tune of 35 million CFA francs. The initiative is part of the vision of the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traore, who calls on every Burkinabe, from within and outside the country, to contribute according to their means to the defense and development of the country.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the Governor of the Nakambe region, Colonel Aboudou Karim Lamizana, welcomed ARBI's contribution. He stated that this gesture demonstrates the support of Burkinabe abroad for the Head of State's call, inviting every citizen to fully commit to national construction and territorial security.
The president of ARBI, Abdoul Salam Bara, recalled that the association has been working for more than three decades for the well-being of the people of Beguedo in particular and Burkina Faso in general. Among its achievements are the construction of a medical center, a cultural and sports center, the acquisition of ambulances and support for disaster victims.
In the coming weeks, ARBI plans to work with the local population and other partners to build the Beguedo Chief's palace. It also called for the rehabilitation of the road linking Nationale 17 to the village of Fingla, which is approximately eight kilometers long and is essential for the sale of agricultural and market garden produce.
Local and traditional authorities have invited other Burkinabe in the diaspora to draw inspiration from the example of the Association of Nationals of Beguedo in Italy so that everyone can contribute, according to their means, to the development of the country. They also urged the population to support the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) in their mission to safeguard national sovereignty.
Through this achievement, the Beguedo diaspora demonstrates that the development of Burkina Faso is possible thanks to the commitment of the Burkinabe themselves, whether they live inside or outside. Founded in 1989 in Rome, the Association of Beguedo Nationals in Italy has already carried out several infrastructure projects in the areas of health, education, water, sanitation, roads, and culture.
