Tuy Municipal Commission Evaluates Territorial Diagnostic Report

Hounde: The Hounde Municipal Commission for Territorial Planning and Sustainable Development (CCADDT) convened its first regular session of the year on August 25 and 26, 2025, to review the provisional territorial diagnosis report with the objective of drafting the municipality's master plan. The session was conducted under the guidance of a team from the General Directorate for Territorial Development (DGDT).

According to Burkina Information Agency, the head of the territorial planning policies and strategies department, Issiaka Zongo, stated that the meeting was set to allow participants to evaluate the diagnostic document. The purpose was to ensure it accurately captures the realities of the municipality to enhance investment levels and the overall management of the municipality's development. Zongo emphasized that the plan would serve as a foundational document, guiding the organization and utilization of the municipality's space over the next 20 to 30 years.

The proceedings were officially opened by Maxime Gnoumou, the 2nd Vice-President of the Special Municipal Delegation. This initiative is a component of the Sustainable Management of Communal Landscapes Project for REDD+ (PGPC/REDD+), which aims to develop thirty Master Plans for Sustainable Development and Planning to benefit municipalities within its intervention area.
