Boulgou: The Veneem Association for the Development of Boulgou (AVDB) handed over three tons of cement and four cans of oil to the Faso Mebo brigade, located in sector 6 of Tenkodogo, on Saturday, October 3, 2025. This gesture is part of a dynamic of solidarity and citizen participation in local development.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the president of the Veneem Association for the Development of Boulgou (AVDB), Souleymane Lonfo, stated that the association felt it was its duty to respond to the call of the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traore. The development of the province and region requires the participation of all. The donation of three tons of cement and four cans of oil is an initial contribution from the association, which will continue to mobilize its members and supporters to strengthen its support for local initiatives.
For its manager, Veneem means "light" in Moore, reflecting the association's desire to support actions aimed at improving the living environment of the population. AVDB operates in three main areas: social cohesion, local development, and the promotion of human rights. The activities include organizing cultural and sporting events, raising awareness of peace, supporting economic initiatives, and training in management, leadership, and entrepreneurship.
Souleymane Lonfo indicated that the AVDB wants to strengthen the capacities of its members and local partners. It also plans to develop initiatives in education, sanitation, vocational training, and sports. The association intends to participate in building a united and development-oriented province, reaffirming its motto: "Unite to build." It remains willing to collaborate with public institutions, local and national organizations, and other actors involved in development.
Founded in 2024 in Tenkodogo, AVDB is a non-profit organization working for social cohesion, local development, and the promotion of human rights. It aims to build a society where each individual exercises their fundamental rights and contributes to the progress of their community.
