Goulmu: The governor of the Goulmu region, Ram Joseph Kafando, paid tribute this Saturday, November 1, 2025, to the National Armed Forces (FAN), on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of their creation. In a message addressed to military personnel, paramilitaries, and Volunteers for the Defence of the Homeland (VDP), he praised their commitment to the defence of the national territory.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the governor of Goulmou, Ram Joseph Kafando, noted that this anniversary comes during a time marked by security challenges, particularly in the Goulmou region, where the forces involved “are showing bravery and determination on the battlefield.” He emphasized that their selflessness is a symbol of love for the homeland and loyalty to the oath to serve Burkina Faso with honor and dignity.
Ram Joseph Kafando stated that the daily sacrifices made by these men and women, sometimes “at the cost of the ultimate sacrifice,” contribute to the consolidation of a united, strong, and sovereign Burkina Faso. He also commended the resilience of the population, which he deemed essential to the success of the fight against terrorism.
The governor concluded his message with a call for peace and security in Burkina Faso.
