Ouagadougou: Muslim women support the Faso Mebo Brigade with a donation of essential supplies the Nourou Nadjati Association (‘The Light of Guidance’) and the women of the Muslim community of Tenkodogo presented the Faso Mebo Brigade with a donation of everyday essentials on Sunday, including a basin, pots and pans, a gas cylinder, cans of motor oil, and a water heater. This gesture aims to encourage and support the young people serving the nation in their mission.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the handover took place at the headquarters of the Faso Mebo Brigade, in the presence of the representative of the Presidency of Faso, Mr. Adaman Kambone, and several local officials.
The donation, presented on behalf of the association’s president by Hadja Aminata Minoungou, reflects the recognition and commitment of Muslim women towards their sons, brothers and husbands who work for the security and development of the country.
‘This is our contribution to help our children have access to clean water and easily heat their coffee. We send them our blessings and support, while praying for a Burkina Faso that moves forward every day and for the swift return of peace,’ said Ms. Minoungou.
Special envoy Adaman Kambone, receiving the donation on behalf of the Presidency, expressed his deep gratitude to the donors for their generosity and patriotic spirit.
“This act shows that the women of Burkina Faso, and in particular those of Tenkodogo, are aware of the role they can play in supporting the Nation’s efforts. We encourage them to continue in this dynamic,” he stressed.
He also invited other associations, women’s groups and well-wishers to follow Nourou Nadjati’s lead in order to strengthen solidarity around the active forces committed to the stability of the country.
This donation, though modest according to its initiators, carries great symbolic weight in the current context of national resilience. By combining faith, solidarity, and concrete action, the women of the Muslim community of Tenkodogo remind us that peace and progress are built on unity and mutual goodwill.
