Boulkiemde: The first cohort of the patriotic immersion program for members of the Koudougou civic watch completes their training. Koudougou celebrated the official graduation of the first class of its patriotic immersion program for members of the Citizen Watch program on Tuesday, November 5, 2025. Fifty participants received their certificates after ten days of intensive training, marking a significant step in strengthening civic responsibility and commitment to defending national values.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the ceremony took place at the Gendarmerie Squadron in Koudougou, under the chairmanship of the governor of the Nando region, Mr. Adama Jean Yves Bere. The event brought together a range of administrative, military, customary, and religious authorities, demonstrating the collective interest in this initiative.
Led by Pema Neya, the representative of the Presidency of Faso to the Nando region, this training aimed to strengthen patriotism, civic discipline, and active participation in the defense of the nation. During the ten days, participants were trained on themes such as patriotism, discipline, community security, and national solidarity.
The ceremony began with the raising of the colors and the national anthem, followed by a presentation of the results of the training and the sharing of experiences by the participants. In his address, Governor Bere commended the initiative and congratulated the participants for their commitment. He emphasized the importance of community policing in consolidating peace and promoting social cohesion in the region.
For his part, the Commander of the 32nd Gendarmerie Squadron in Koudougou, Captain Boubacar Compaore, encouraged the new graduates to put into practice the values acquired and to become models of civic responsibility within their communities. The representative of the graduates, Daniel Kologo, reaffirmed, on behalf of his comrades, their commitment to serve the nation with loyalty and determination.
The ceremony ended in an atmosphere of pride and patriotism, embodied by the presentation of certificates. This first cohort paves the way for increased citizen mobilization for a united and resilient Burkina Faso.
