Sandbontenga: The Koulse regional special delegation, under the leadership of Colonel-Major Z. Blaise Ouedraogo, has approved its initial budget for the 2026 financial year during its fourth ordinary session of 2025.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the budget, which is balanced in terms of revenue and expenditure, amounts to 196,697,800 CFA francs for the operating section and 70,866,514 CFA francs for the investment section. The budget was crafted with a participatory approach, considering the pressing socio-economic conditions and the ongoing security concerns in the region.
Colonel-Major Blaise Z. Ouedraogo, the president of the special delegation, emphasized that the budget's primary focus is on enhancing basic social services to tackle the challenges posed by terrorism. He acknowledged the limitations of the budget in addressing the vast needs of the region but highlighted the importance of prioritizing interventions that benefit the community.
Pending approval from the supervising ministry, this budget underscores the Koulse regional special delegation's dedication to advancing regional development and improving the quality of life for its residents.
