Bam: The High Commissioner calls on the students of the Kongoussi Municipal High School to strive for excellence and patriotism. The High Commissioner of Bam, Karim Ouedraogo, urged students of the Kongoussi Municipal High School this Wednesday morning to cultivate excellence, discipline and patriotism, during the rotating raising of the colors in the establishment.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the High Commissioner reminded the nation's leaders of the importance of this civic ritual, a symbol of national unity, discipline, and patriotism. "The raising of the colors is not a simple ritual. It is an act that reminds us of our responsibility to the Nation and the obligation to promote the values of patriotism, integrity, and hard work," he said.

Addressing the students, he encouraged them to cultivate excellence, discipline, and respect. He also emphasized their central role in building Burkina Faso. "With each raising of the flag, see the call of the Nation to give your best and to make your knowledge an instrument of development," he urged them.

Karim Ouedraogo also praised the commitment of the headmaster, the educational staff, the teachers, and the school council to the education of young people. He paid tribute to those who, he said, work behind the scenes to provide a healthy and promising learning environment.

In a national context marked by security and social challenges, the head of the Bam recalled that the school remains "the foundation of national resilience", before inviting learners to be model citizens, in line with the dynamics of the People's Progressive Revolution.

The head of the department also congratulated Tidiani Sawadogo, the best teacher in the Kulse region, who works at this school.

As a reminder, the next rotating flag-raising ceremony will be held on December 2, 2025, at the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture, Animal Resources and Fisheries of Bam.
