Tenkodogo: The youth of Zonsé, a town located approximately 70 kilometers from Tenkodogo in the area known as the “Three Zs,” donated 3.5 tons of cement, wheelbarrows, and gloves, valued at 450,000 CFA francs, to the presidential Faso Mêbo initiative for the beautification and improvement of living conditions in the Nakambé region. The donation ceremony was held in the presence of Lieutenant Abdoul Fatah Sawadogo, commander of the Faso Mêbo brigade in Nakambé.

‘We are here to contribute to the building of our country. Our primary motivation is ourselves, because what we build today will benefit our children and our community. The president said it: no one will come to build Burkina Faso for us. We are certain that our donat
ion will serve a concrete purpose for the development of our region,’ he said.

He stressed the importance of dignity and civic responsibility, stating that the youth of Zonsé refuse to be sidelined or to let others write the history of local development without their participation.
