Noumbiel: The VENEGRE Association Provides Essential Aid to Displaced Persons and Hosts

Noumbiel: The VENEGRE association recently delivered vital supplies, including 10 bags of 25 kg rice and 3 cartons of Citec soaps, to Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) and their vulnerable hosts in Noumbiel.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the association distributed these donations to 10 households in the commune of Batie. The handover was conducted in the presence of local authorities and association members, ensuring the aid reached the intended beneficiaries. This initiative is part of VENEGRE's ongoing commitment to supporting communities in need.

In a previous effort in 2024, the association, with support from a partner, provided a well to Banaba-Ipiel village in the Batie commune, a move that was warmly welcomed by the local communities. The organization's president, Lohoua/Ouedraogo Alimata, emphasized the symbolic nature of these gestures, highlighting the association's dedication to fostering social cohesion and community spirit since its inception in 2019. VENEGRE aims to continue its annual donations as part of its unwavering mission.

Abdoulaye Nacanabo, the provincial director in charge of humanitarian action, praised the association's efforts as a "patriotic act" and encouraged other entities to emulate such initiatives.
