Technical Studies Initiated for Paving RN13 Sabou-Leo Road in Burkina Faso

Sabou: The Directorate General for Standardization and Technical Studies (DGNET) has officially handed over the site of National Road No. 13 (RN13) to the TED Sarl / NOVEC Mali SAS group, marking the beginning of technical studies for paving the 113 km long road.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the consortium has a twelve-month contractual deadline to complete the studies, with an estimated cost of 328,065,187 FCFA including VAT. Salif Samake, representing the consulting firms, assured that the work will adhere to technical standards, ensuring that all deliverables meet contract specifications.

Pele Sory, head of the project unit, led the site handover mission and announced measures for rigorous service monitoring. The site visit highlighted key technical elements, including the construction of a bridge at kilometer marker 85, 20 culverts, 60 closed box culverts, 7 open box culverts, and the development of 4 km of urban roads in Sabou and Leo.

The ceremony concluded at the Provincial Directorate of Infrastructure and Rural Development of Sissili with the signing of the official handover documents. DGNET reiterated its commitment to executing road projects in line with technical standards, supporting the national policy for infrastructure modernization and enhanced mobility.
