Ipelce: The provincial directorate in charge of basic education in Bazega organized, on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, in Ipelce, an awareness day on school dropouts and on support for vulnerable students, particularly those living with a disability. The Ipelce "A" public primary school served as the setting for the event aimed at combating the issue of school dropouts that affects the commune and the province.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the Provincial Directorate of Preschool, Primary, and Non-Formal Education (DPEPPNF) of Bazega mobilized students, stakeholders, and the educational community for this initiative. The event sought to address the challenges faced by vulnerable students, particularly those with disabilities, by encouraging community support and engagement.

Present at the event, Claude Ouedraogo, the provincial director of preschool, primary, and non-formal education for Bazega, urged all stakeholders and the Ipelce community to strive towards a quality educational environment. Mr. Ouedraogo emphasized the role of collective commitment in tackling school dropout rates, exclusion, limited access to education for girls, and the lure of early departures to gold mining sites.

He reminded the community that education is a shared responsibility, beginning in the family, nurtured by the community, and realized in schools. Students, parents, and teachers pledged to be active partners in the effort, recognizing that today's children are the future builders of Burkina Faso.
