Dedougou: The traditional leaders of Dedougou, led by the Canton Chief, have made a significant contribution to the presidential initiative Faso Mebo, providing 21 tons of cement to support community development efforts. This donation was presented to provincial authorities in a ceremony attended by Bassolma Bazie, President of the National Coordination of the Confederation of Sahel States, who was in Dedougou for a regional conference.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the ceremony was chaired by the Chief of the canton of Dedougou and highlighted the community's commitment to development and solidarity. The 21 tons of cement, valued at 2.2 million CFA francs, were handed over to Faso Mebo in a gesture that underscores the importance of collective responsibility.
The ceremony was further dignified by the presence of Bassolma Bazie, whose participation reinforced the event's significance. The Canton Chief spoke on the local culture's emphasis on solidarity, noting that construction efforts have traditionally been a community affair.
