Rabat: The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Cooperation and Burkinabe Abroad, Karamoko Jean Marie Traore, was present early at the Military Mission in Rabat to lead the monthly flag-raising ceremony, joined by embassy staff and representatives from the High Council of Burkinabe Abroad, Kingdom of Morocco Section.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Minister Traore addressed his compatriots after the ceremony, urging them to remember the efforts of the fighting forces dedicated to liberating Burkinabe territory from terrorism. He reiterated the President of Faso's call for unity and mobilization behind the authorities, security forces, and VDP to tackle the enemy.

Minister Traore highlighted the necessity of unity, cohesion, and harmonious living as essential elements in overcoming terrorism. He specifically addressed members of the Base Councils and HCBE delegates, urging them to carry out their duties with sacrifice, integrity, and loyalty to project a positive image of Burkina Faso in Morocco. He encouraged them to maintain close relations with the embassy and seek assistance when needed.

Ambassador Mamadou Coulibaly introduced the local organizing committee for Burkina Faso's participation in the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, chaired by himself. This committee aims to support the national organizing committee from Ouagadougou to ensure successful participation in the tournament.

The Foreign Minister's visit to Rabat coincides with his participation in a conference on victims of terrorism, starting December 2nd. The conference offers Burkina Faso the platform to share its experiences and perspectives on terrorism, which Minister Traore notes has regrettably become a tool in foreign policy.
