Kadiogo Regional Employment Fair Aims to Enhance Youth Employability

Kadiogo: The Secretary General of the Ministry of Sports, Youth and Employment, Colette Ouedraogo, inaugurated the Kadiogo Regional Employment Fair in Ouagadougou. This initiative is designed to enhance youth employability and promote entrepreneurship.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the event was chaired by Aissata Angelina Traore, Secretary General of the Kadiogo region, representing the governor. The meeting took place at Burkina Suudu Bawde, focusing on the theme of boosting employability and entrepreneurial potential among young people for the region's development.

The fair, organized by the Kadiogo Regional Directorate of Youth and Employment, seeks to increase professional opportunities and strengthen the entrepreneurial skills of young people. Support comes from the Faso Kuna Wili Fund, BSB, and ANPE, with technical and financial backing from the NGO TAMAT.

Arnaud Bebe Noufe, Regional Director of Youth and Employment for the Central Region, emphasized his institution's dedication to the socio-professional integration of young people and acknowledged the support from partners, underlining the national importance of investing in youth.

Fabiola Bedini, Country Director of NGO TAMAT, shared her organization's satisfaction in backing a structured framework focused on youth and reaffirmed their commitment to employability and inclusion.

Aissata Angelina Traore, Secretary General of the region, described the initiative as crucial for Kadiogo's youth, applauding the partners and urging continued efforts toward sustainable development.

The fair also marked the launch of the TUUM BAOOBO project, funded by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation. Led by NGO TAMAT, this project focuses on the socio-economic inclusion of vulnerable youth and women in Kadiogo and Oubri, involving various technical and institutional partners.

Over two days, attendees engaged in communications, awareness sessions, and discussions on entrepreneurship, professional integration, decent work, and productive employment.
