Ouagadougou: In his end-of-year message to the Nation this Wednesday evening, the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traore, announced the construction of high-rise educational structures in 2026.

According to Burkina Information Agency, President Ibrahim Traore detailed plans for transforming and modernizing educational structures by constructing vertical buildings. This initiative is set to commence in 2026 and aims to implement new education centers throughout the year.

The head of state emphasized the government's focus on improving general education while prioritizing technical and vocational education. He promised that many well-equipped technical and vocational high schools would be established to address development needs.

Traore highlighted that 2025 saw the beginning of construction on several amphitheaters and educational buildings. Some of these projects are nearing completion, while others are scheduled for completion in 2026.

Additionally, Captain Ibrahim Traore announced the procurement of servers for universities, facilitating students' access to online libraries. He stated that laboratories would continue to expand their capacities, enabling students to transition from theoretical to practical education.

"We will continue this momentum to enable all university centers and all universities to be able to study in a dignified manner," he assured.
