Russian Delegation Meets Burkina Faso Minister to Bolster Economic and Cultural Ties

Ouagadougou: The Minister of Industry, Trade and Handicrafts, Serge Gnaniodem Poda, recently hosted a significant Russian delegation, led by Natalia Krasovskaya, Director of Training at the Center for Public Diplomacy. This meeting marks a crucial step in enhancing economic and cultural cooperation between Burkina Faso and Russia.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the meeting provided an opportunity for both parties to review the outcomes of the Bronze Exhibition 2025, which was initiated by a group of Russian deputies. Burkina Faso participated in this event held from November 8 to 14, 2025, in Novosibirsk, Russian Federation. The visitors highlighted that the exhibition demonstrated the vitality of the partnership between Burkina Faso and Russia and their joint commitment to promoting crafts as a means of economic and cultural development.

The minister expressed his satisfaction with the success of the exhibition and emphasized the importance of applying the lessons learned to ensure a successful 2026 edition.
