Riyadh: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has achieved the second global rank and first in the Arab world among donor countries in humanitarian aid and relief for the year 2025. This accomplishment has been highlighted by the United Nations Financial Surveillance Service (FTS).

According to Burkina Information Agency, Saudi Arabia has also emerged as the top donor of humanitarian aid to the Republic of Yemen, contributing 49.3% of the total aid provided to the country. In addition, the Kingdom has been ranked second in aiding the Syrian Arab Republic and in development aid according to the report for the year 2024 concerning non-member donor countries, which includes 16 nations.

Further achievements include Saudi Arabia's ranking as the tenth largest donor among all countries, both member and non-member, totaling 48 countries, in terms of the development aid volume. Dr. Abdullah Al Rabeeah, Royal Court Advisor and General Supervisor of the King Salman Relief and Humanitarian Action Center (KSrelief), emphasized that the Kingdom's prominent position in global humanitarian efforts is a reflection of the unwavering support for humanitarian and relief work by the Saudi leadership, exemplifying the values of generosity and benevolence inherent in the Kingdom and its citizens.

He highlighted that this accomplishment is the result of a long-standing tradition of donations by Saudi Arabia, showcasing a continuous commitment to assisting people and nations in need worldwide, with human life and dignity as a priority. Dr. Al Rabeeah noted that these contributions have been documented in real time on international platforms through the "Saudi Aid Platform," recognized as the largest aid platform in the region.

This strategic approach, bolstered by the insight of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the active involvement of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, along with coordination with relevant Saudi authorities, has enabled the Kingdom to make a significant global impact, thereby securing its advanced position in international humanitarian aid rankings.
