Bassitenga: The Youth Association for Love and Solidarity supports 140 vulnerable women and 120 vulnerable students: On the occasion of the 20th edition of its solidarity ceremony for the benefit of people in difficult situations in the commune of Kaya, the Association of Youth for Love and Solidarity (AJAS) of Koulse, offered food and hygiene kits to 140 vulnerable women on Saturday, January 17, 2026 in Kaya, and covered the membership fees of parents of students for the benefit of 120 students.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the president of AJAS, Adama Derme, stated that the initiative aims to provide concrete support to those in need. He noted that this action, organized for the past 20 years, has grown stronger with each edition, increasing from around twenty beneficiaries in the first edition to 260 beneficiaries this year.

The provincial director of Family and Solidarity of Sandbondtenga, Abdoulaye Bamogo, as well as the sponsor, Sadou Sawadogo, former mayor of Kaya, praised the constant commitment of AJAS to women and students in difficult situations.

As a sign of satisfaction and gratitude, certificates of recognition were presented to individuals and partners who supported the initiative.

The ceremony was attended by administrative, military, traditional, and religious authorities, as well as officials from development structures.
