Tapoa: The Tapoa Students' League held a flag-raising ceremony at Gnedangou High School in Diapaga, providing a platform for its president, Karim Tandamba, to extend New Year's greetings to various stakeholders including His Excellency the President of Burkina Faso, the Burkinab¨ people, parents, teachers, and the educational community.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the event began with a minute of silence for fallen heroes, followed by the national anthem in Gourmantchema. Tandamba expressed hopes for a year filled with health, peace, and social cohesion. He highlighted that the nation's challenges in 2026 are more about mental infiltration than visible conflicts, referencing a recently thwarted destabilization attempt thanks to the state's vigilance and public mobilization.

Tandamba paid homage to the Defense and Security Forces (FDS), Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP), and others who have sacrificed for the nation. He emphasized that students honor and support these efforts through their commitment. He also praised Burkina Faso's intelligence service for its crucial role in maintaining national security.

The students at Tapoa High School extended wishes for success to the new Minister of Secondary Education, hoping his leadership would prioritize public interest. In confronting current challenges, the students reaffirmed their support for the President's efforts to maintain a sovereign Burkina Faso. The Student League urged all students to maintain discipline and reject manipulation.

Tandamba stated that their resistance is civic, intellectual, moral, and patriotic, emphasizing the students' alignment with national interests and resistance to destabilization. He reassured that the martyrs will not be forgotten and expressed admiration and support for security forces and volunteers. The League also invited students to participate in upcoming development projects.
