Nakamb: The Governor of the Nakamb region, Yiy Abraham Somdo, oversaw a patriotic training session for middle school students in Tenkodogo on Saturday. This activity is part of the national initiative to strengthen the values of discipline, integrity, patriotism, and social cohesion promoted by the highest authorities in the country.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Governor Yiy Abraham Somdo explained that the patriotic training program is the logical continuation of the patriotic immersion initiated at the national level. This approach aims to create "fully-fledged Burkinab¨ citizens," bearers of fundamental values such as probity, integrity, discipline, and a sense of sacrifice for the homeland.
Governor Somdo expressed his satisfaction with the progress of the sessions and the students' commitment. He emphasized that discipline must become a daily practice for every citizen, especially young people, who are encouraged to be deeply attached to their country.
The Governor reiterated the vision of the President of Burkina Faso, who hopes for the emergence of youth aware of its worth and committed to building Burkina Faso. He urged students not to idealize the outside world at the expense of their own country.
Among the participants, the program generated enthusiasm. Aissatou Dabon, a student at Naaba Zoungrana high school, praised the initiative for teaching important values like solidarity and patriotism. Yovan Bill Yoda, another student, noted initial apprehension but recognized the Governor's presence as a sign of trust.
