Manni: The vital forces of the commune of Manni presented their New Year's greetings to the prefect, president of the Special Delegation (PDS), Emmanuel Tindano, in a context marked by significant security challenges, reaffirming their attachment to republican institutions and their support for the fighting forces. The ceremony, held on Saturday, January 31, 2026, gathered all the constituted bodies of the department, highlighting the vitality of the local social fabric and the collective will to preserve social cohesion and the continuity of public action.
According to Burkina Information Agency, on behalf of the Special Delegation, Vice-President Viviane/Bourgou Dabongou extended wishes for health, peace, and success to the Prefect, commending his commitment, availability, and close ties with the local population. She called for the strengthening of social cohesion and synergy among local stakeholders.
The head of the military detachment in Manni, Lieutenant "Blade," reaffirmed the commitment of the FDS to continue securing the commune and its surroundings, while praising the resilience of the people and their constant support for the fighting forces.
On behalf of the constituted bodies, the head of the Basic Education District (CCEB), Marcellin D. Damolga, expressed his gratitude to the administrative and security authorities, stressing the importance of unity and solidarity to face security and socio-economic challenges.
Concluding the speeches, Prefect Emmanuel Tindano thanked the participants, praised the courage of the people and the professionalism of the security forces, and urged the vital forces to remain united for the consolidation of peace and the revival of local development.
The presence of the International Emergency Program (IEP), the only NGO currently operating in the commune, whose humanitarian support contributes to strengthening the resilience of the population, was welcomed, with an appeal made to other partners to resume their activities. Beyond its formal nature, this ceremony reinforced mutual trust between the administration, the security forces, and the people of Manni.
